Community Launch of the Liverpool European Festival 2025
As the heart of the Community Launch of the Liverpool European Festival 2025, St Luke’s Bombed Out Church will burst into life with music, movement, and colour in a vibrant celebration of Europe’s rich cultural heritage.
From midday, the iconic venue will host a lively and family-friendly programme featuring cultural stalls, exhibitions, and performances representing communities from across Europe—including Italy, Poland, Romania, Greece, Ukraine, the Nordic countries, and many more.
Visitors can browse stalls from a range of European diaspora communities who made Liverpool their home: activities include traditional crafts, quizzes, singing, displays, posters and a whole lot of fun.
At twelve noon the vibrant Ukrainian dance ensemble “Radist”.will open the event and launch the festival in fabulous style. The Lord Mayor will address the festival at 13.00. Do come down to Bombed Out Church as soon as you can though: there will be European dance, performance and music from 12.00 onwards including including Greek dance workshop with The Ntirintachtas, and Greek singer Andrea Brown.
The Family Corner boasts free activities for young and old. No need to book ahead, just join in:

14.00-16.00 multilingual fun such as signing songs and learning new words in European languages
The whole event is free and open to all from 12 till 4pm and offers a unique opportunity to experience Europe’s diverse cultures—right in the heart of Liverpool.
