VIP Launch Event for the Liverpool European Festival 2025

On Thursday, 8 May 2025, the majestic Liverpool Town Hall will host the VIP Launch Event of the Liverpool European Festival 2025. This landmark gala will welcome 27 EU ambassadors, along with European trade counsellors, cultural attachés, and local dignitaries, to celebrate Europe Day in Liverpool—rather than in London.
Hosted by Gosia McKane, Founder of the Liverpool European Partnership, together with Cllr Richard Kemp, Lord Mayor of Liverpool, and His Excellency Piotr Wilczek, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, the evening will honour Europe’s cultural richness and unity, coinciding with Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Distinguished guests will be welcomed by a vibrant showcase of European community organisations. Participants from Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, the Nordic countries, and many more will share their culture and heritage through captivating displays and performances.
The evening will also mark the official launch of the Liverpool European Partnership, paving the way for deeper collaboration between culture, community, and enterprise across the region.
The celebration will conclude with a drinks reception hosted by the Ambassador of Poland.
