Whether it’s painting 200 eggs at Easter workshops, crafting flower crowns for the joyful Midsummer celebration, or setting tables for a magical Wigilia, Merseyside Polonia creates a true home away from home for the Polish community in Liverpool and across the wider city region.
Our cultural and heritage events not only celebrate Polish traditions but also honour the deep and lasting ties between Poland and the United Kingdom. We reflect on the courage and contribution of Polish pilots in WWII, while also uncovering the historical connections between Liverpool’s iconic landmarks and the Polish community over the centuries. In doing so, we foster a deeper sense of belonging, pride, and shared identity among generations of Poles living in Merseyside.
Beyond celebrating our culture, we bring people together through shared passions and community life. From our English language classes to our lively Book Club, Cycling and Walking Group, Crochet sessions, and board game meetups, we create opportunities for connection, learning, and friendship. These shared interest groups help bridge generations and backgrounds, strengthening the bonds that hold our community together.
Through our Help Link service, we provide vital support for those in crisis and work hand in hand with local organisations to make services more accessible, inclusive, and culturally competent — ensuring that everyone feels seen, supported, and part of a caring community.
